Suellen (Orange, Australia):
We stayed at L’Echappee Belle for three nights. It was a welcome relief from the city. Sophie is a wonderful host - recommending places to visit including to local producers. She is also a wonderful cook and you should take up the opportunity to eat at her table with her other guests. It helps to have a car here but bicycles would also be a great way to get there. There is lots to do and we would have loved to stay longer. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.
This small B&B is marvellous with spacy rooms and bathrooms and really nicely decorated. It is situated in an environment that offers you a wide range of opportunities for leasure activities like hiking and biking. Very friendly host that offers both a Nice breakfeast and also possibility to have a homecooked dinner in the evening. We realtly recommend this place That offers really good value for money.
Graham (Bourne, England):
What is there not to love about this place?! Sophie has worked tirelessly to renovate this canal side house into a lovely home shared with her 2 friendly dogs. A warm welcome awaits guests - we were offered tea in the lounge by a roaring log fire. Bedrooms were tastefully decorated and attention to detail evident - we thought the environmentally friendly bathroom products were great! A table d’hotes is offered which is well advised - the nearest restaurant is some distance away. Food is very good using local products- good wine on offer too. Breakfast was continental with homemade jams and delicious caramel cake too. Very peaceful location and we were able to have a lovely walk along the picturesque canal before leaving. Can’t recommend it highly enough!
