Let me introduce myself, Sophie, I'll be your host at L'Echappee Belle.
Fond of traveling, I'm also an adept of staying overnight with the locals. As a Human Resources professional, I began my career in the hotel and Tourism business. The creation of this guesthouse
is therefore a return to my roots which allows me to continue to meet travellers from all over the world.
I will be delighted to share with you my passion for this region and help you discover its attractions and specialities.
According to your affinity with dogs, Flynn, my faithful companion, will be able to be discreet or enjoy your affection.
L'Echappée Belle is located in the heart of the forest of Orléans, on the banks of the canal of the same name in the historic hamlet of Grignon.
The Guest House L'Echappee Belle is located in the Loire Valley in Grignon, the place where the construction of the Canal d'Orleans began in 1676 to allow the transport of wine, wood and coal
between Orleans and Paris.
The port of Grignon has seen a flourishing period with more than 3000 barges per year, and many inns in operation. Then, with the railway, the number of passages decreased and commercial
navigation ended in 1954.
Historic monument of the 17th century, the house had an important role in Grignon. Among the first to be built, it contributed to the construction of the Canal.
Since its purchase in 2013, it has undergone various works to revive it and enhance its charm of yesteryear.
